The Great Unknowns are an alt.country band. Their first CD came out in 2005. They got their start in Boston but are now based in Washington, DC. They favor simple arrangements that highlight Becky Warren’s song writing talents. The Great Unknowns. The Great Unknowns once described themselves as “rock music for the open road,” but the twang is undeniable. Like so many bands, The Great Unknowns got their start in the basement of a college dorm. “You will achieve success only when you have stopped seeking it,” explaining the multi-year hiatus that led up to their current release, Homefront. The band has played many gigs in the southeast and DC area, including the world famous 9:30 club. They have several videos on YouTube including one for their signature tune, “Different.”
